Russia-China Cooperation with Iran Serves Strategic Interests

A member of Russia’s State Duma said Saturday that cooperation between Iran, Russia and China would serve their strategic interests.

 “The West is trying to hinder Iran-Russia-China trilateral cooperation,” Iran’s news agency, IRNA, quoted Vasily Likhachev as saying.

The Russian parliamentarian said the West is attempting to isolate both Iran and Russia from the international arena.

Likhachev noted that such isolation would lead to regional and international instability.

Criticizing the US unilateral sanctions on the Islamic Republic of Iran, Likhachev stressed that Moscow is against such anti-Iran moves.

He reiterated that dialogue would be the only mean to resolve the existing issues.
