A new report of U.S. Congress Research Center warned of that an Israeli strike against Iran could disrupt the Iranian project for a period of not more than half a year. The report stated, quoting a former official in the U.S. administration as saying, that it is very likely that Iran could rebuild or change the then existing facilities for the production of centrifuges needed to enrich uranium.
According to the report, revealed by Zionist daily "Ha'aretz" Thursday, the authors conducted interviews with a number of senior officials in the U.S. administration, U.S. security apparatus and other officials to prepare the report. One of U.S. officials said that any attack does not beat the centrifuges manufacturing facilities will reduce the time required for Iran to repair those facilities.
According to "Ha'aretz," the Iranian facilities that produce the parts necessary to enrich uranium distributed throughout Iran, and that "Israel" and the United States do not know their locations. Workers at the International Atomic Energy Agency noted that since Iran prevented them from reaching its nuclear facilities, the amount of information available to the Agency has been reduced significantly.
The report also refers to the technical difficulties of any Zionist attack against Iran. According to the authors, the Iranian reactor in Bordeaux is a major challenge to the Zionist entity due to its underground location and that the weapons available for "Israel" to strike targets deep in the ground may not be effective in the case of these facilities.
Attack from Azerbaijan
In the meantime, Israeli public radio (Reshet Bet) reported Thursday morning that "the United States fears that Israel would strike Iran through the neighboring Azerbaijan, use four former Soviet military bases in the country during the attack, and use the bases to supply Israeli fighter jets with fuel."
The radio said the American magazine "Foreign Policy" published a report referring to that possibility, especially in light of strengthening relations and security and military cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Israeli entity.
The American magazine added "the U.S. administration fears that Azerbaijan allows the Israeli fighter jets to refuel over its territory after a potential strike against Iran takes place, as well as allow Israeli rescue crews to prepare for such an attack before implementation."
The magazine said that "Turkey has expressed concerns about the development of military relations between Israel and Azerbaijan," adding that "Israel plans to provide Azerbaijan with unmanned aerial for $1.5 billions."
“Such a deal raised the wrath of Turkey since the Israeli entity was supposed to provide Turkey with this kind of jet,” the U.S. magazine concluded.
