Israeli occupation troops killed a Palestinian early Sunday near the security fence separating the Gaza Strip from occupied Palestinian territories.

"A patrol spotted a suspicious figure digging a hole, indicating that he was planting an explosive device," Israeli army spokesperson said, adding that soldiers had opened fire in his direction. "His body was found Sunday morning with an AK-47 rifle next to it," he said.
