The Lebanese army said in a statement issued on Sunday that it arrested three suspects in the shooting at an army check point that in Tripoli, the National News Agency reported on Sunday.

“After intensive investigation, the army arrested three of the four suspects in the shooting” which took place on an army check point in Mahalat al-Tabbaneh and in Khan al-Battikh,” the NNA quoted the statement as saying. It added that the army won’t show lenience towards those responsible for such acts.
