Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Akbar Salehi considered that Washington’s decision to exclude 11 countries from committing to its decision to ban buying Iranian oil was not a pull back.
In an interview with Iranian news agency IRNA, Salehi indicated that when the West recognizes Iran’s firmness, it would lose any glimpse of hope, retract, and withdraw.
He said that “even when the West begins a tactical withdrawal in one region, it continues its efforts to implement its goals there,” stressing that “the West will change its stands only when it believes that all the roads are blocked.”
On another level, the Iranian foreign minister underlined “the importance of unity and national integrity in maintaining power and strength of the country,” adding that “all Iranians even those who live outside Iran and have different views on the ruling system in the country unanimously support the strong belief that making use of nuclear technology for peaceful purposes is the inalienable right of the Iranian nation.”
