US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton considered Tuesday that a “nuclear-armed” Iran was a destabilization to the region, indicating that the United States will make efforts to try “to convey the legitimate fears that people in the region have about what comes next”.

“If Iran were ever to get a nuclear weapon, the countries in the region are going to buy their way to one as well," Clinton added during her one-day visit to Norfolk, Virginia.

In the same context, the US secretary of state warned of a unilateral Israeli strike on Iran, and stated that such an action would not be in anyone’s interest.

She pointed out to ABC news that “the U.S. has worked very hard with Israel on all levels from the military, intelligence, strategic, and diplomatic level to make sure we were sharing information.”
