One of the most shocking videos containing live images of state-sponsored vandalism, looting and lawlessness has shaken the human conscience to the core.
The crime took place on 10th April in Alba Roundabout of Bahrain attacking Jawad Stores. A CCTV recording tells a story of a different kind, unheard before. The armed militia members stormed the store, armed with sticks, metal bars, some of them in balaclavas while others bare-chested. They set upon the store adopting the most vicious of anarchic behavior, breaking its contents and looting cigarettes and other valuable materials. This happens under the eyes of the police who appear directing the operation. Here are the links to the most outrageous act of state-vandalism.
The thugs appeared in the video, wearing civil uniforms, backed by officers and soldiers of internal security forces of Bahrain, which provided them with support and cover until they finish tasks of sabotage and cracking.
This time, the video proved that previous responses of the Bahraini Interior Ministry were nothing but lies, when it declared that those who committed attacks against shops and livelihoods of citizens were unidentified vandals who didn’t belong to its ranks!
The posted video came to embarrass the Bahraini Interior, unfold its lies, and force it to confess to what the cameras had reported, even if carried by the shame!
Chief of Public Security Tariq al-Hasan declared that what surveillance cameras has shown, which he described as individual acts, were inconsistent with the principles of police work.
Al-Hasan claimed that legal actions will be taken about those involved, adding that he will coordinate with the supermarket’s owner to count the damages.
