A total of 36 Taliban militants were killed, according to Afghan Interior Minister Bismillah Mohammadi.
On the other hand, Mohammadi pointed out Monday that eight members of the Afghan security forces were killed and 40 others were wounded, and that three other causalities fell among civilians as 25 others were injured.
Taliban had launched Sunday multiple attacks against government, foreign military, and embassy targets in the Afghan capital of and took over a hotel there.
