After another night camped outside the American embassy based in London, Ali Mushaima stated that temperatures again reached a chilling minus two degrees last night, Bahrain Freedom Movement said in a statement issued Monday.
Ali is the son of Bahraini opposition leader sheikh Hasan Mushaima; yet, "the excruciating conditions prevented him and his colleague Musa Abd Ali from attaining adequate sleep and their bodies have become extremely weak due to the lack of sufficient nutrients in their bodies," the Movement's statement read.
Ali and Musa have now spent five nights outside the U.S Embassy and have been on indefinite hunger strike for the past thirteen days.
The two hunger strikers have been accompanied by protesters who have stationed themselves outside the embassy and are calling for the immediate release of Abdul Hadi Khwaja and sheikh Hassan Mushaima, who among many others have been imprisoned for exercising their right to freedom of expression, the statement added.
There has been no response from any officials from the U.S embassy from where the two hunger strikers have been positioned since Tuesday 10th April.
