Palestinian captives and detainees in Israeli prisons have begun Tuesday April 17 a three day food strike to protest the Israeli racist policies that include preventing visits and solitary confinement, Palestine Today reported.
According to the Palestinian news agency, the captives, who believe that they are being denied the least of the legitimate and international human rights, will send back three meals a day for three consecutive days.
Moreover, the Palestinian prisoners said in a statement, which “Palestine Today” received a copy of, that they are preparing for an escalation by the beginning of May if the Israeli prison administration did not respond to their demands.
The statement stressed that the time has come when prisoners impose their humane conditions and force the enemy to respect human rights and halt their violations.
In parallel, the agency noted that the Palestinian captives have previously called on their leaderships to stop meetings with the Israelis, especially on the Palestinian Prisoner National Day, as part of the pressure against the enemy.
