bahrain martyrJust one day before the Formula One Grand Prix, Bahraini regime brutally killed a youth in al-Shakhoura village.

Prominent opposition group, Al-Wefaq, posted on its website that the corpse of Salah Abbas Habib was found on a rooftop near a farm in the village of al-Shakhoura.

Late on Friday, a number of peaceful citizens took to streets in protest of the regime brutal behavior against the demonstrators, the group said.
“Regime forces attacked the protesters as it brutally beat them, using different kinds of weapons”.

The opposition organization also said that protesters heard some of security forces as saying: “there should be a martyr in this village”.

For its part, interior ministry confirmed Habib was found dead.
In a statement on social networking website Twitter, the ministry said: "the body of a deceased person was found in Shakhura today (Saturday). Police have begun an investigation".

bahrain martyrMeanwhile, the Agence France Press contacted one of the martyr’s relatives, who said that Habib was arrested by security forces after he took part in an anti regime protest late on Friday.

"Salah was taking part in the protest in Shakhura Friday and was arrested by security forces while other protesters managed to flee" the family member said on condition of anonymity.

"We knew nothing about him" after the protest "until we were told that his body was found on Saturday morning".
Witnesses told AFP that security forces fired tear gas and sound bombs to disperse dozens of people who gathered at the area where Habib's body was found.

The Formula One is due on Sunday, with many opposition groups and protesters demanding the cancelation of the race.
The race was postponed last year after protests against the regime erupted, and was later removed from the 2011 schedule.
