Syrian Ambassador in Lebanon Ali Abdul Karim Ali hailed the Lebanese army’s interception of the arms ship “Lutfallah II” in North Lebanon, considering it was a “great achievement”.

Ali clarified in a press conference after his meeting with Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour that “the ship was destined to the opposition in Syria in order to target the security and stability in the two countries.”

He further stated Adnan’s concern that Lebanon plays an effective and positive role in controlling the borders and preserving security there.
