Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei has called the Iranian nation to demonstrate their vigilance on Friday when the run-off parliamentary election will be held.

“On Friday, the Iranian nation will once again show their exemplary vigilance, insight, and sense of timing through their presence on the scene,” the Leader said while addressing thousands of teachers from across the country at a meeting in Tehran Wednesday.

Sayyed Khamenei’s meeting with the visiting teachers came to commemorate National Teachers’ Day of Iran, which fell on May 1 this year.

The high and glorious turnout for the first round of the parliamentary election in Esfand (the Iranian calendar month which fell between February 20 and March 19) was a remarkable example of this.”

“Iranian people are on the scene as they fully know their enemies. They are sagacious and will never let enemies achieve their hypocritical goals,” Supreme Leader said.

“In the current situation in the world, nations should vigilantly be on the scene and demonstrate their potential in order to achieve success,” his eminence added.

The Supreme Leader however highlighted the role of teachers in building a society which is founded on human virtues, science, and knowledge.

Ayatollah Khamenei praised the lofty status of teachers in society and highlighted their significant role in educating the generations to come.
