The UN’s International Atomic Energy Organization (IAEA) said that the deceased inspector was a South Korean, who was on a mission with an IAEA colleague near the Khondab complex in the province of Markazi.
"One of the two experts was injured, while Seo Ok-seok from South Korea died of severe injuries”, the organization said in a statement.
The organization said that Seo was killed as his car had overturned after veering off the road. It did not mention the nationality of the injured inspector.
However, ISNA and Fars news agencies said the second inspector was a Slovak national, who has been hospitalized. They did not provide further details.
