An extremist group called "al-Nasra Front", affiliated to al-Qaeda, claimed responsibility in a video tape posted on web of the two powerful terrorist blasts that hit al-Qazzaz neighborhood in Damascus last Thursday.

"Al-Nasra Front", through statements posted on its sites, claimed responsibility also of other terrorist explosions that struck Damascus lately.

Around 55 civilians were killed and hundreds injured in the blasts that exploded in popular area across Damascus.
Huge masses of people and official figures escorted on Saturday the martyrs who were killed by the terrorist twin blasts from al-Othman Mosque in Damascus, according to SANA.

After prayers, the bodies of the martyrs were draped in Syrian flags and carried on shoulders amid the masses of people who expressed their condemnations of the terrorist acts committed by the armed terrorist groups.
