Iran, IAEA Begin Nuclear Talks in Vienna

The new round of talks between representatives of Iran and the IAEA started in Vienna

The new round of talks between representatives of Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) started in Vienna on Monday.

The talks are held at the venue of Iran’s representative office in the UN and other international organizations behind closed doors without the presence of reporters.

The IAEA Deputy Director General Hermann Nackaerts who heads the nuclear watchdog’s delegation told reporters that the talks are based on the contents of the Non-Proliferation Treaty.

Iran's ambassador to the Vienna-based international organizations Ali Asghar Soltanieh is leading the Iranian delegation to the two-day meeting.

Negotiations were held last month between Iran and 5+1 (including US, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany) in Istanbul, the next round of talks is set tp be held next week in Baghdad.
