Lebanon's Speaker Nabih Berri announced Tuesday that Beirut and Tehran will witness tangible boost in their relations in the near future.

On the recent visit to Lebanon by Iranian Vice President Mohammad-Reza Rahimi, Berri said the visit is considered as a pivotal step in fostering mutual ties.

He further underlined the need for consolidation of unity among all groups and parties in his country.

Berri made the remark in a meeting with Iran's Ambassador to Beirut Ghazanfar Roknabadi.

Roknabadi, for his part, described the huge turnout of Syrian nation in the recent election as a sign of failure of enemies' conspiracies.
