Russian Ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Zasypkin said Russia’s accusations to Al-Qaeda of orchestrating last week’s Damascus explosions were based on information.
In an interview with An-Nahar newspaper, the Russian ambassador indicated that the Syrian crisis affected the situation in Tripoli, North of Lebanon although it’s hard to diagnose its “channels” and “roads” as he calls it.
He reiterated Russia’s call for international coordination and regional control on these terrorist attacks in Syria. “We rely on the observers and the implementation of Annan’s plan. We should give it time. It’s true that we do not rule out fluctuations, but Annan’s plan remains the only thing existing in the current circumstances. We don’t want to lose this opportunity.”
