Lebanese Speaker Nabih Berri warned Sunday of any chaos may be resulted from the delay of releasing the abducted Lebanese in Aleppo.
He told local newspaper Assafir that “there are postulates in the case that include the safety of the kidnapped, the fact which was confirmed by Turks, the Syrian opposition and all mediatory parties, along with the continuous contacts at all levels to release them as soon as possible.”
Berri called for restraint “until we all reach a happy ending for this crisis,” Assafir reported Monday.
He also called upon all Lebanese, as well kins of the abducted citizens not to take rumors into account, warning of an intention for some people to stir up sedition by deviating the direction of this case to make it a Lebanese – Lebanese issue.
Berri stressed, however, that both Amal Movement and Hezbollah are sparing no effort to control the street, emphasizing that the equation to which we are supposed to stick in the meantime is «patience is key to relief».
Eleven Lebanese visitors have been abducted in Aleppo Tuesday while returning from visiting the Holy Shrines in Iran.
High level contacts are in full swing since the day, where questions are posed regarding the delay of their release.
