Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said in his weekly press briefing Tuesday morning that fixing a date and place of next round of talks with the world powers was a good step forward.
The designation of Moscow as the venue of the next round of talks is a positive measure, he said, stressing the need for respecting Iran’s nuclear rights based on the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) which could serve as a very good basis for all countries to enjoy their nuclear rights.
Commenting on mutual cooperation between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the spokesman further noted that talks and cooperation between Tehran and the UN nuclear watchdog has no direct relation with negotiations between Iran and the 5+1.
Asserting that Iran has always had the highest levels of cooperation with the IAEA, Mehmanparast said Iran has kept announcing readiness to cooperate with the agency to remove any probable vague points.
