As Israeli occupation air forces were staging strikes during night, rockets launched by Gaza fighters did not stop, hitting different locations in the occupied territories.
The violence in and around Gaza entered its third day, with six Palestinians have been martyred and five other have been wounded so far by Israeli air raids
"We have raised our level of alert and reinforced patrols in areas near the Gaza Strip," said Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld.
"Overnight, IAF (Israel Air Force) aircraft targeted six terror activity sites in the Gaza Strip. Hits were confirmed," an Israeli military statement said, later confirming a seventh strike in what it said was a “response” to the persistent rocket fire.
In total, 45 rockets hit Israel on Tuesday, all of which were claimed by the Hamas armed wing, the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades.
