Four rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs) were fired Thursday at a Lebanese village in the Bekaa region of Hermel.
The source of fire was identified from Syrian territories, Al-Manar TV reported.
Al-Manar correspondent reported that around 07:00 a.m. local time, militant groups attacked Syrian army posts on the eastern borders with Lebanon.
The 107 mm rockets were fired at al-Mesherfeh village, which could have committed a horrible massacre.
The rockets were fired during a clash in the Syrian town of Qusayr, local Al-Jadeed network said.
Security sources revealed to Al-Manar that militants have fired the RPGs at Syrian army checkpoints near the border with Lebanon, noting that one of the grenades has landed in the residential area without exploding. Residents had been taken away from it until the arrival of Lebanese Army Engineering Corps.
Another rocket has exploded near Ghazi Haj-Hasan’s house and caused severe damages in building, while the other two have landed in the agricultural zone.
“No one was harmed in the incident, but the fired rockets caused mass panic among residents in the area,” Al-Manar correspondent said.
