Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei said Thursday that China believes that recent talks between Iran and G5+1 in Moscow were realistic and very good.
China plays an active, constructive and comprehensive role in helping resolve Iran’s nuclear issue on the long run, he said.
Referring to the achievements made during Moscow talks, he said Iran and G5+1 held very explicit and detailed talks on nuclear issues.
Iran answered the questions posed by the G5+1 and offered its proposals to the group, he said.
The two sides also agreed to continue talks at expert levels to prepare grounds for a very consolidated move towards resolving the issue, he said.
“China believes that dialogue is the only way to solve the issue as both should show more flexibility to this end,” he said.
China also backs Iran's legitimate rights to make use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, Hong added.
