An Nahar daily reported Friday that Suleiman has launched secret consultations with the top officials to guarantee the success of the second round of the all-party talks that are set to tackle the national defense strategy in addition to resolving the proliferation of arms in Lebanese cities.
By Monday, the president would have completed his separate talks with the 17 leaders to achieve the minimum level of agreement on the defense strategy similar to their Baabda Declaration of June 11, the sources said.
