Foreign Ministry spokesman strongly rejected rumors by some foreign media of the emergence of alleged problems during visit of Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi to Cyprus
Foreign Ministry spokesman, Ramin Mehmanparast, strongly rejected rumors by some foreign media of the emergence of alleged problems during visit of Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi to Cyprus.
He noted that such news by some foreign media pertaining to difficulties facing the visit of Foreign Minister Salehi to Cyprus takes place within the framework machinations and a naïve kind of reporting, IRNA reported.
“Dr. Salehi was warmly welcomed upon his arrival at Larnaca International Airport by high-ranking officials of Cyprus Foreign Ministry and Cyprus Presidential Office,” Mehmanparast said.
He pointed out that Foreign Minister Salehi during his visit to Cyprus had constructive talks on expansion of bilateral ties, regional and international developments with Cypriot diplomats and officials.
“A statement issued by president, economy minister and caretaker of Cyprus Foreign Minister according to which constructive talks were successful clearly indicates that the biased approach by some Western media on Iran,” Mehmanparast added.
