Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah stressed that the alliance between Hezbollah and Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun is firm and cannot be dismantled, al-Akhbar newspaper reported on Thursday.
Al-Akhbar said that Sayyed Nasrallah was speaking during meetings held with senior leaders of the regulatory body of the party about the crisis that hit the majority team in the government, pointing out that the party seeks to resolve this crisis.
Sayyed Nasrallah turned to the positions of both parties in all stages of their relationship during the past six years, praising the role of Aoun and his stances. His eminence, said Al-Akhbar, stressed the need to resolve the current dispute, and develop the relationship to higher levels.
At the same time, Nasrallah confirmed the firmness of the alliance between Hezbollah and the Amal Movement, and the need to maintain it, and find solutions for any dispute occurring between Amal and the Free Patriotic Movement.
Al-Akhbar reported that the FPM and Hezbollah held several meetings to swiftly resolve the crisis and discussed the controversial issues as consultations were kicked off with Parliament Speaker and Amal Movement leader Nabih Berri to reach a solution that satisfies all parties.
