US President Barack Obama reiterated his support for the Zionist entity, saying Washington’s staunch support for Tel Aviv is not up for partisan debate.
Addressing voters in an election campaign in Florida Thursday, Obama said that the “US and Israel have an unbreakable bond.’
"I want everybody to know, under my administration, we haven't just preserved the unbreakable bond with Israel, we have strengthened it," he said.
"We stood by Israel's side in the face of criticism. Our military and intelligence co-operation have never been closer," he added.
The US President also pledged to ensure Israel’s security following an explosion in the eastern Bulgarian city of Burgas, in which 7 Israelis were killed and over 30 others injured.
“Now’s the time to make sure that we are doing everything we can to protect Israel’s security, and I want you to know that that’s something that should transcend party,” Obama said, adding “that’s not a Republican or Democratic issue.”
