Foreign Minister Salehi made his remarks in a telephone conversation with his Syrian counterpart, Walid al-Mualem on Thursday.
Salehi also expressed the sympathy of the Iranian government and nation with the Syrian government and nation on the sad incident of killing of Syria’s defense minister, his deputy and a number of other top Syrian security officials.
Syrian Defense Minister Dawoud Rajiha, his deputy Assef Shawkat and Syrian Deputy Vice-President Hassan Turkmani were killed in a terrorist attack on Wednesday.
Syria’s National Security Bureau chief, General Hisham Ikhtiyar was martyred Friday morning after being injured in the attack.
Syrian Interior Minister Major General Mohammad Ibrahim al-Sha’ar was wounded during the bomb attack at the headquarters of the National Security Bureau in the Capital, Damascus.
