The American political scientist George Friedman said that the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has announced the all out war as he appointed the toughest officer as a defense minister.

Talking about the new Syrian Defense Minister, General Fahad Jassim al-Freij, the US analyst said: “He reminds me with the German Generals who were known for their new tactics.”

“President Assad had given the green light for his forces to end the insurgency at once and as soon as possible,” Freidman said, according to the Israeli Tenth Channel.

 “He (President Assad) also appointed a new committee for the Strategic Security… He put his missile forces on alert… He summoned elite scientists,” the US analyst added.

“The west has to be ready immediately for the next war, which I see as surely coming. We must not underestimate the Syrian leadership because it wined the more difficult war which is the diplomatic and the strategic war. It’s easy to win the military war especially for an army that is ready to die and to fight till the last breath,” Freidman said further.
