“Syria is the one supposed to complain, as it is the one that is on the receiving end of gunfire and rockets fired from the Lebanese side,” Ali told as-Safir Lebanese daily.

“The violations emerging from the Lebanese side harm the brotherly Lebanese-Syrian relations,” the Syrian ambassador added.

On Monday, President Michel Sleiman asked Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour to send a protest letter against Syria violations to the Lebanese border.
