Arab Tawhid Party leader Wiam Wahhab said in remarks published Sunday that three people were involved in a purported assassination attempt against him.
Lebanese Arab Tawhid Party leader former MP Wiam Wahhab said in remarks published Sunday that three people were involved in a purported assassination attempt against him, including one close to Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt.
“Based on the confessions made by the detainee, there are three names involved, one of them close to Walid Jumblatt,” Wahhab told Ad-Diyar newspaper.
“I do not accuse anyone and I want to approach the judicial and security authorities. I will not take political advantage of the assassination attempt,” Wahhab added.
Last week, the Arab Tawhid Party leader said that he had information about an assassination attempt against him.
“The accused man is detained and he confessed that he had received promises and money from a group to execute the assassination operation,” Wahhab told Al-Jadeed local television Tuesday.
