Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad met Sunday evening the visiting Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem indicating that the arrogant powers seek to save the Zionist regime in the region and strengthen their domination.
“Today all world nations are pursuing justice, respect and freedom,” Ahmadinejad said, adding that the nations’ legitimate rights should be respected and fulfilled.
Undoubtedly, the President added, the NATO and certain countries that disrespect freedom and justice cannot provide legitimate rights of world nations.
Referring to the critical situation in Syria, the Iranian President expressed hope that security and stability would be established in that country through prudence of the people and government.
The Syrian foreign minister, who arrived in Tehran on Sunday, briefed President Ahmadinejad on the latest developments in his country.
