The Russian representative’s proposal came a surprise move to the United States, Britain and France that are expected to oppose it.

“Moscow's proposal shows the new approach of Russia in dealing with crises in the Middle East, which is free of double standards,” the sources explained.

Meanwhile, China’s representative at the U.N. said earlier that the double standards of the U.N. Security Council dealing with the crises have damaged the credibility of the Council by world public opinion.

It is known that the United States, Britain and France pushed the UN Security Council to convene a hundred times to discuss the situation in Syria as these countries kept silent about the ongoing repression and murder against the Bahraini people a year and a half ago.
