Hezbollah commemorates the International Al-Quds (Jerusalem) Day in a central celebration in which Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah will deliver a speech.
Al-Quds Day, which falls on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, was named by the late Founder of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini to support the oppressed Palestinian people.
Hezbollah’s celebration is to take place at five o'clock on Friday afternoon (14:30 GMT) in a Hall within Al-Mahdi – Hadath School, in the southern suburb of Beirut.
Since Imam Khomeini’s declaration, Muslims worldwide have been observing the occasion by staging rallies and parades demanding freedom of the Holy Quds.
