Russia, China Stress Need to Adhere to International Principles

Russia and China agreed that violations of the international law and the UN Charter must not be permitted.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told Dai Bingguo, Member of the Chinese State Council on Tuesday that the international principles should be respected.

The Russian and Chinese diplomatic cooperation is based on "the need to strictly adhere to the international norms and the principles contained in the UN Charter, and not to allow their violation,” according to Interfax News Agency.

Earlier on Monday, Bingguo told the Russian newspaper of 'Rossiyskaya Gazeta' that the international community should be committed to the principles and goals of the UN Charter in dealing with the crisis in Syria.
