Lebanese daily, as-Safir, reported in its Wednesday edition that Sleiman will head to Iran on August 29.
Iranian official news agency, IRNA, said that the President is to hold talks with several counterparts including Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
The agency added that several Lebanese ministers including Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour and a number of journalists would accompany Sleiman during his two-day visit to Tehran.
The 16th NAM Summit will be held in Tehran from August 26-31.
The Non-Aligned Movement has 118 member states representing the interests and priorities of developing nations.
During the event, Iran will take over the NAM presidency for the next three-year period from Egypt. NAM summit is held once every three years in a member state.
