Hezbollah International Relations chief Ammar al-Moussawi received on Tuesday United Nations Deputy Special Coordinator for Lebanon Robert Watkins.
Hezbollah International Relations chief Ammar al-Moussawi received on Tuesday United Nations Deputy Special Coordinator for Lebanon Robert Watkins and discussed with him the latest developments in the issue pertaining to the 10 Lebanese pilgrims still kidnapped in Syria, according to a statement issued by Hezbollah’s media department.
One of the pilgrims, Hussein Ali Omar, was released on Saturday.
During the meeting, Moussawi condemned the latest “blatant threats” issued by the Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against Lebanon.
Netanyahu warned the Lebanese government that the Zionist entity of occupation would strike Lebanon if Hezbollah attempted any provocation against his entity, the Zionist daily Haaretz reported on Monday.
Moussawi criticized the “international silence over these threats.”
In May, 11 Lebanese pilgrims were kidnapped in Syria while on their way to Lebanon from visiting the holy shrines in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
