Leader in the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Hamas Mahmud Al-Zahhar expressed his appreciation to Iran for standing by the Palestinian people.

Leader in the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Hamas Mahmud Al-Zahhar expressed his appreciation to Iran for standing by the Palestinian people, as Chairman of the Islamic Shura Ali Larijani assured that the voice of the resistance should be raised in the region.

Larijani said that the popular revolutions in the region increased the power of the Islamic Resistance in the Islamic World, adding that the voice of the resistance must be raised in the region.

According to Mehr news agency, the chairman of the Islamic Shura in Iran further stated during his reception of Al-Zahhar that: “The protectors of the Zionist entity in the international field have always tried to marginalize the Palestinian cause by focusing on other causes; but for the Islamic world, the Palestinian cause and the fulfillment of the oppressed Palestinian people’s rights, has always been the initial cause.”

For his part, Larijani stated the Iranian people and government’s support to Hamas movement because of its persistence on its initial stances.

“Hamas is a symbol for the resistance of the Muslim Palestinian people, and it’s not permitted to weaken its role and status,” he added.

During the meeting, Mahmud Al-Zahhar expressed his appreciation for the Islamic Republic’s support to the Palestinian resistance, considering that “Iran’s role had been an unprecedented role in supporting the Palestinian people in the past years, and no one could ignore Iran’s important position in the Palestinian cause.”

In addition, he stressed that Hamas will not give up any piece of the Palestinian land, and will continue in its jihad until the complete liberation of Palestine.
