Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov believes that an early start of a political dialogue between all participants in the conflict is essential for solving the Syrian crisis.
He wrote this in his microblog in Twitter today, according to The Voice of Russia Website. The diplomat believes that talks could begin through the mediation of the UN Secretary General.
Yesterday, the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that steps taken by the international community for a peaceful solution of the Syrian problem paved the way for stopping violence in that country and launching an all-embracing political dialogue.
These steps are two resolutions of the UN Security Council and the peace plan compiled by ex-envoy of the UN and the League of Arab States Kofi Annan.
However, Moscow believes that these documents are not being implemented so far.
