Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei stressed Thursday that the offensive policies of the United States and Israel, as well as the leaders of international arrogance, are the ones behind the disgraceful offense against Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
As he regarded the act as "evil", his eminence portrayed in a statement the reason behind the Zionists' malice to Islam and the Quran, and said: "If the American politicians were honest in their claims of not being involved, then they should punish those involved in this disgraceful crime and its backers."
Sayyed Khamenei pointed out that these offences come in response to the Islamic awakening which is still developing in various regions in the Islamic world, and considered that "these desperate attempts prove the greatness and importance of these awakenings."
