Gunmen attacked a home in the village of Hajj Ali, south of the main northern city of Mosul, killing three cousins, police First Lieutenant Qahtan Nayef al-Juburi and Dr Wissam Abboud from Mosul General Hospital said.
And gunmen wearing military uniforms opened fire on a car carrying Colonel Saba Mohammed, north of Tikrit, killing him and wounding his driver, a police lieutenant colonel and a medical source said.
