Commander of the Iranian Army's Ground Forces Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan announced on Friday that Iran's army is ready for a swift and vigilant response to any possible threats launched by the country’s enemies.
The brigadier general made the remarks on the sideline of a ceremony commemorating the start of the Sacred Defense Week at the mausoleum of the Late Founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, in southern Tehran.
"The message of today Iranian army forces parade to our friends is peace and friendship," he said, adding that the parade also contains a message for our enemies indicating our readiness to confront any possible threats against Iran.
Brigadier General Pourdastan added that the parade also indicated that the regional countries have the capacities to establish peace and tranquility in the region and do not need the sympathies of foreign forces.
