A Palestinian woman tried to stab an Israeli policeman in east al-Quds (Jerusalem) on Sunday to avenge for the offensive film to Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) which was produced by extremist Jews and Christians in the United States.
"An Arab woman this morning tried to attack an Israeli policeman, who managed to control the situation and no one was injured," an Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld told AFP.
"The incident took place close to Salah Eddin street. The women, aged 32, is from the Silwan neighborhood. She was arrested and her knife seized," he added.
"Preliminary questioning revealed she was attempting to protest against the film," Rosenfeld added, referring to the controversial "Innocence of Muslims," an anti-Islam film.
