Two people were killed on Saturday, including a soldier, in shootings and bomb attacks in and around Iraq's main northern city.
A civilian was killed in a drive-by shooting in east Mosul, according to Iraqi army Lieutenant Khaled Hamed and doctor Mahmud Haddad at the city's main hospital.
It was not immediately clear why the man was gunned down.
South of Mosul in the town of Qaiyarah, a soldier was killed and two others were wounded by a roadside bomb that appeared to be targeting an army patrol, Hamed and Haddad said.
And two other soldiers, who were on leave and in civilian clothes, were wounded by gunmen in the town of Al-Shora, also south of Mosul, according to the officials.
