Relatives of the Lebanese pilgrims who were held hostage in Syria staged a sit-in in front of the Turkish embassy in Lebanon’s Metn.
The protesters condemned the Lebanese government’s slow approach in its effort to release the abductees and called on the Arab states to intervene in order to set the hostages free, according to the National News Agency on Wednesday.
It added that the protesters also warned that “the Turkish ambassador in Lebanon and all Turkish nationals in the country will not be welcome from now on.”
Awad Ibrahim, who was released in September, was among the protesters.
