A Palestinian was seriously injured on Friday by cross-border fire from an Israeli tank in the central Gaza Strip.
A spokesman for Hamas health ministry said the Palestinian was 22 years old, but without mentioning his name.
He added that the attack took place close to the border fence with the occupied territories, east of Bureij refugee camp.
The Israeli occupation military said that troops in the area fired at a person seen approaching the fence, with a spokesman claimed the occupation soldiers thought the man was “attempting to plant an explosive charge.”
