Thousands of Iranians rallied Friday in various cities in the Islamic Republic, marking the anniversary of the US embassy take over during the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
The national day, which is a symbol of Iran’s rejection to Global arrogance, was commemorated by Iranians from various social levels who denounced the US-led sanctions on Iran, as well as the US and International Zionists' offenses against Prophet Mohammad and his Household (PBUH).
The former US embassy in Tehran was known in Iran after the revolution as "the den of spies" and relations between the two countries have been cut since then.
Demonstrators further vowed to follow the path of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Grand Ayatollah Imam Ruhollah Khomeini, and renewed allegiance to Supreme Leader Imam Ali Khamenei.
