Zionist Entity to Build over 1,200 Settlement Units

The Zionist entity plans to build over 1,200 new settler units in East Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and the West Bank despite international criticism

The Zionist entity plans to build over 1,200 new settler units in East Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and the West Bank despite international criticism.

The Israeli NGO, Peace Now, reported on Tuesday that Tel Aviv published tenders for 607 units in the Pisgat Zeev neighborhood and 606 units in Ramot, both in East al-Quds.

The regime has also re-offered tenders for another 72 homes in the Ariel settlement in the West Bank.

“It seems that [Israeli Premier Benjamin] Netanyahu is afraid of the new administration that is being elected today in the US, and he has chosen the day of election to publish the tenders so that there will be the least public attention to his action,” said the NGO which opposes Israeli settlement in the West Bank and East al-Quds.

The Israeli settlements are considered illegal by the UN and most countries as the territories where they are located were occupied by “Israel” in a war in 1967, and are hence seen as being subject to the Geneva Conventions, which forbids construction on occupied lands.
