A meeting for the Supreme Defense Council was held in Baabda Presidential Palace Thursday and was headed by Lebanese President Michel Suleiman.

Prime Minister Najib Miqati, Defense Minister Fayez Ghoson, Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour, Finance Minister Mohammad Safadi, Interior Minister Marwan Charbel, Economy Minister Nicolas Nahhas, Social Affairs Minister Wael Abu Faour, Commutations Minister Nicolas Sahnawi, and Justice Minister Shakib Qartbawi attended the meeting which tackled the current security situation in Lebanon, specifically after Sidon incidents.

Army Chief General Jean Qahwaji also attended the meeting along with Internal Security Forces Director General Ashraf Rifi and other officers.

In this context, Government Commissioner to the Military Court in Lebanon Judge Saqr Saqr issued an inspection communique against Ahmad Al-Assir's son for ceasing arms from elements in the Internal Security Forces, National News Agency reported.

The agency reported that Judge Saqr issued warrants for the security apparatuses to uncover the militants that participated with Al-Assir in Sundays incidents.
