During a joint press conference with the Egyptian PM, Haniyeh said that the aggression on the Gaza Strip will stop with the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and the steadfastness of Egypt and the liberals in the world.

For his part, Qandil saluted the Palestinian people for their heroic steadfastness, stressing that the tragedy of the Palestinian people cannot be trespassed and the world should bear its responsibility to repel the aggression.

Qandil visited the Council of Ministers building in Gaza City.

“What I am witnessing in Gaza is a disaster and I can't keep quiet. The Israeli aggression must stop,” he said. But he insisted that Egypt would “spare no effort” in trying to broker a ceasefire.

The truce that was announced during the visit of the Egyptian PM was violated with Zionist strikes continuing and Palestinian rockets retaliating.
